New Shoes, Now Running

I finally broke down and bought a new pair of running shoes today - well, last night to be accurate. But I should know better than to make such an important decision when I'm pressed for time. The first pair felt great, but they were more expensive than what I've been buying (I've been hooked on Adidas' Supernova Cushion for about 5 years now) and they felt a little 'off'. So I took them back over lunch and tried a few more pairs on - thank you Trani! You rock!

So, now I have a pair of great running shoes and no excuse to not run outside anymore. Except, of course, for the construction on the River Trail. Better get in some runs now while the humidity is low. The elliptical at the gym is great and all, but I miss getting the fresh air from running outdoors. Not to mention the personal space and the ability to talk to myself without anyone looking at me weird (other runners talk or sing to themselves, so two or more weirdos = normal).

When we started talking about starting a family, I signed up for newsletters from the website, poshcravings.com. There's a fitness class called Baby Boot Camp, which John and I happened to observe last summer while we were on vacation in "The OC". We sat on the deck overlooking the bay and the park while they jogged up and down the path with their strollers and resistance bands. So, I've decided that when I do have kids, I will round up a group of other moms and we can create our own little BBC. Anyone with me? Okay, so I may want to find trainer that can lead the group, so we don't hurt ourselves. Renegade Baby Boot Camp?
