School Starts - Ugh

Not that back - to - school really affects me that much, but it was nice and quiet this summer. They had orientation today, so we had to hang out in the gym and talk to people who really didn't feel like talking to us. When you're in the fundraising arm of a private school, not many people are eager to talk to you. Oh well. We eased into it by handing out free t-shirts (so, they were left over from last year's 5k, but they are free and spirit approved). Not that we were soliciting donations or anything. Just handing out information on what we do. My time could have been spent in a more productive way.
John joined some coworkers the other night and needed to switch cars. Since I was alone for dinner, I decided to pick up Qdoba. I get in his car, turn on the radio, and am greeted by jazz - but not just any jazz - I think it's called Jazz on the Eights. Anyway - it's the jazz music that they play on the Weather Channel during the weather on the eights. He actually asked for this CD for Christmas. Seems more white elephant to me, but my dork of a husband (it's okay - I'm a raging dork too) seriously wanted this CD. The bizarre twist - his other CDs are techno. There really is no happy medium.
